"This is a compilation of two lp's - one from 1959 and one from 1962. Each in itself is a masterpiece, and the combination of both on one CD is almost too much !
The first time I heard this cd I was alone at home, a little tired. It was raining outside but it was not too cold.
It was almost overwhelming. The emotional power of the music swept me away, and I felt the music to be the sweetest thing I have ever experienced. Whether in slow tunes such as Carry Me Home, Jesus Remembers, or Amazing Grace, or the faster tempos of Marry Don't You Weep or My Rock - every sound is perfection.
The ability of this group to create musical drama is outstanding, and the harmonies are at once smooth and interesting.
Every song is great - my favorites are the slow ones such as Carry me Home and Jesus Remembers, but it depends on the mood. This is necessary music."

"I first became formiliar with the Swan Silvertones as a young boy about ten or eleven years old. My father being a member of a local gospel quartet would by their records so I guest you could I grew up listening to this group of fine singers. Those records are long lost or are now in the worst condition. Thats why anytime theirs a chance for me to purchase any of these collectables that I was so fund of as a young boy I won't hesitate. This is great music great songs. Their are several gospel groups I like but Swans have aways been my favorite."
