"I LEARNED OF Z. Z. HILL IN 1963..."YOU WERE WRONG" WAS THE SINGLE. MY PARENTS PLAYED IT TO DEATH!! AT FIRST, I COULDN'T STAND GUT BUCKET R&B(THROUGH THE YEARS I LEARNED TO APPRECIATE DIFFRENT FORMS OF MUSIC). THEN...I HEARD; "HAPPINESS IS ALL I NEED" AND "I NEED SOMEONE(TO LOVE ME)." THE BROTHA' WASN'T MAINSTREAM, BUT HE WAS ENJOYABLE TO LISTEN TO. "DOWN HOME BLUES" ALMOST GOT HIM INTO "SOUL HEAVEN." THIS CD COLLECTIONS OF BLUES HITS ARE FROM THE PERIOD WHEN BLUES WASN'T MAINSTREAM. ALSO, AS AN ADDED TREAT...THEY PRESENT MR. FREDDIE NORTH ON THIS COLLECTION. LISTEN TO THE PLANTIVE PLEAS OF: "YOU AND ME, TOGETHER FOREVER" OR "SHE'S ALL I GOT." HE IS A GENTLEMAN WHO JUST ENJOYS SHARING HIS VOICE WITH YOU. THIS CD IS AN ACQUIRED TASTE CD. EVERYONE CAN'T BE B. B. KING OR JOHN LEE HOOKER. I CAN REMEMBER BACK IN 1963, THEY GOT NO AIRPLAY EITHER! STILL, I ENJOY GOING BACK IN TIME. MAYBE YOU WILL ENJOY SOME OF THE 60'S BLUES...FROM, TWO NOT SO WELL KNOWN BLUES SINGERS!!"
