Outra Praia (Another Beach) is a case of a supporting actor emphatically and justifiably stealing the limelight. Swami Jr. has long been a highly sought-after producer, arranger, composer and guitarist who has worked with a plethora of musical talent from Brazil and further afield. He recorded and toured with Chico Cesar for ten years and has accompanied and/or produced Omara Portuondo (he is featured on Omara's Grammy Award winning World Village recording, Gracias), Vanessa da Mata, Elba Ramalho, Zelia Duncan, Elza Soares, Zeca Baleiro, Tom Ze, Lokua Kanza, Mayra Andrade, Dori Caymmi and more. This is the debut solo album for Swami Jr. and with it he establishes himself alongside these cohorts as a major name in Musica Popular Brasileira.
