Making A Great Album & Then Getting The Sack

""When The Night Comes Down" was as good as any of the Sutherland Bros. work on Columbia and it's a shame they were let go and not picked up by another label. Both Iain & Gavin did (2) solo albums afterwards, all being hard to find but the budget to do it well wasn't there. This is a classic good time pop album that deserved better. I agree with the previous reviewer. Where is "Down To Earth"? 4 1/2 stars....."

"The Sutherland Brothers' last album, and they just kept getting better and better. Their long time lead guitarist, Tim Renwick, is replaced by some fine LA session men including some wicked lead work by Rick Vito. It's filled with catchy pop and rock songs and as a bonus three songs from Down To Earth are included. Another fine album with no filler. Hope this doesn't mean Down To Earth is not planned for CD release."
