For whatever reason, it's an egregious error, that almost made me miss this CD. That's a shame, b/c 'That's for Sure' is a great little album. Any album w/ Abercrombie and Wheeler is a must have, as is Marc Copland's "Second Look" w/ Abercrombie. So, this mixture of the three together should be a 'can't miss' prospect.
The album meets that high expectation. The telepathic link b/w the three players makes the absence of a rhythm section moot. Plaintive melodicism, well-crafted harmonies, subtle swing, are all in abundant evidence. Great recording quality too. You'd think this was an ECM album, but it's not."
