"It's the best electronic music record I've heard in a long time. I'm not up on nomenclature, I'm not sure what to call it, but it's definitely a hybrid of a few styles and "drum 'n bass" is one element. Ths sounds are aggressive and dark, but not oppressive. Beats stutter but maintain. You just have to hear it. Some real thought and craft went into this, and I can't recommend it highly enough. I had heard a couple of the recent collaborations Submerged did with Bill Laswell (The Only Way To Go Is Down, Inamorata) but this is the real stuff, this is what you need to hear.
Fans of Miles Davis circa "Live-Evil" will be one group that will love this controlled chaos. The trumpet player on a few of these tracks channels Miles beautifully.
