Everybody Started Out Small continues with the excellent family music that Stuart and Tom have become known for in their over 20 years of making music for kids and families. The CD includes "Eight Hugs a Day," a gospel style tune in praise of the power of hugs, "Movin' on to First Grade," perhaps the best kindergarten graduation song every written, and "So Many Ways to Be Smart," a singable introduction to multiple intelligences. Uptempo, positive, fun, funny, and just as listenable for grownups as for kids. The production runs from acapella to full rock band, with lots of space in between. No synthesizers, though. This is mostly wooden music that people from small to tall will ask for again and again.
