"What more could you ask for on 2 CDs! Grumiaux was a titan; I never tire of his playing."

"Pleyel, Boccherini, Mozart and even Haydn wrote String Trios and this one has to be one of the better of that period. It contains a lovely recapitulation and the counter-point leaves you guessing its direction. Really it could be a SQ with a little work. The Duos leave me baffled; how did Mozart come up with such robust pieces with only two instruments. I guess that is why he is one of the best in music history. Once again, Arthur Grumiaux performance and sound is impeccable. He is criminally underrated. This set is reasonably priced and would make an excellent addition to anyone's Mozart collection."
