"British punk band evolved into a shiny pop outfit before imploding in the early '90's.Their greatest hits package offers glistening pop sheen, ("Skin Deep", "No Mercy"), art-pop Euro-lounge, ("European Female"), punk with careful pop borders, ("Something Better Change"), some lame and toughened up covers, (The Kink's "All Day And All Of The Night", and ? and The Mysterians' "96 Tears"), and a dark, eight minute, guitar soloed, organ pounding version of Burt Bacharach's "Walk On By". It may be said The Stranglers, with so many musical styles, lacked an identity of their own, but there's no denying the 15 tracks on this disc offer an upbeat, addictive listening experience."
Good But Incomplete

"The Stranglers were a great band and this collection has a lot of great songs, but it is inexcusably missing their two best---"Hanging Around" and "Get A Grip On Yourself"."
Might be incomplete......

"...but you can still bop to this CD. Ever wanted a litmus test to know whether you'd like someone? Play this CD and see their reaction. If they don't like The Stranglers, don't bother even talking to them again."

"A friend of mine knowing how I like punk and garage music told me to get a Stranglers Cd, so I did. This Cd contains some pretty good music, but punk or garage music? I don't think so. But that's okay. I like the cover tunes, "96 Tears" and "All Day and All of the Night". However, my favorite song is "Something better Change".
If you like good music , go ahead and take a chance on The Stranglers. I did and I don't regret it."
