CD ReviewsAn Introspective `Faust' album ? !! Claudio Penteriani | Brazil | 08/18/2001 (4 out of 5 stars) "`Automatic Writing By The Moon' is the first Steven Wray Lobdell`s solo album. Lobdell ( guitar ) is a current member of the German band Faust. This Cd not sound like Faust agressive stuff. This is an introspective album with cinematic melodies ( Spaghetti Western ) played with acoustic guitars, and modulators. The final result is a mixture of improvisational folk and studio experimentations almost psychedelic. Some territories between Jim O`Rourke ( Bad Timming album ) and Rafael Toral`s guitars experimentations. `Astral Projection' and `Uranian Wind' are stratospheric songs with Faust`s elements. Great and interesting first album. I`m waiting for the second !!"
