"I would have returned this if I hadn't waited so long to give it to my husband for a gift! Except for the cover, it isn't Celtic at all. There are no pipes, no Celtic accents, and the hymns aren't even Celtic of origin. It was totally misrepresented.
I wouldn't really call it country, either. It's just straight hymns, done in a mediocre manner. The singers aren't spectacular; the arrangements are boring. I can't think of a single reason why anyone would want this CD.
Hymns, like classical music, are generally less expensive than other albums. So it's really not even a good deal on hymns, and most other hymn CDs are much better done. Plus by buying another album, you would know it's done in a style you like!
This is a total gamble. I strongly encourage you to avoid it. I think they packaged it as 'Celtic' just because they know Celtic things sell, and theirs had no merits of its own. And opened CDs are almost impossible to return. It sure seems purposely dishonest! I don't like supporting sneaks."
Title a little misleading - but overall it's pretty good

"The title of this album - Celtic Hymns - is rather misleading because you think you are getting a collection of celtic music. But instead, it is simply a wide collection of hymns -a few with somewhat of a celtic air.
Despite the fact that all you get is a collection of hymns and not authentic celtic music, I enjoy this 3 pack album. It adds an interesting twist to many of the old hymns! If you know ahead of ordering it, that it's not really celtic music, you can enjoy it better and won't feel cheated - that is, assuming you like the oldtime hymns!"
