Steve Riley & Mamou Playboys Live is a great CD

"This CD, recorded live in Eunice, LA is a great CD. I've seen Steve Riley & the MPs several times and have always marveled at the sound generated during a live performance. In the studio, this band is very good...but their live shows are what cajun music is all about. If you are looking for a cajun music CD, look no farther. Listen to the energy generated during the two-steps and the emotions of the waltzes. Of particular interest, I love the emotion evoked by the band as they play "1755". If you are lucky enough to catch this fine band, by all means attend one of their shows. In the meantime, get this CD and you'll listen to it over & over. A truly wonderful collection of songs."

"For me this is the ultimate Cajun accordion player. Very good album, openingstune ( The Flames of Hell) is fantastic and is pure heaven."
