Trailer Song

"the opening song to the trailer and the theme for the film. is called Song to the Siren by Moneypenny. it is not on the soundtrack and it is not a single. seems they left off the best song. which is a drag i know. but again we get cheated by missing out on having a beautiful version of a classic song.it is not the chemical brothers. thats a completely different song. its not This Mortal Coil. their version is much more gospel sounding. and Tim Buckly did not sing this version. and there are several several other cover versions. but the one for this film is by Moneypenny. so stop trying to find it. cause its not anywhere on the net. and its not on any album.so hope this helps. bad news i know. but maybe one day it will be released on a format."

"Okay, well with everyone all freaked out over that song in the trailor, I'll tell you this. No, it's not on the CD. It's not by This Mortal Coil, it was done by some group that starts with an S (i forget what it's called) and it was made exclusively for the trailor. HOWEVER, for a version just as good, if not better, get the one by This Mortal Coil. It's on the CD "It'll End In Tears" Now, for a review on the SCORE of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre:
I love film scores. Most of you probably don't. But I am a huge fan of Music Made For Movies. I actually bought this CD because it is as scary as heck, and great for the Halloween season, and let me tell you, it is PERFECT for halloween, it's deep bass gets you scared all by itself! (even with the lights on). I absolutly LOVED the movie, it was fantastic, but, to be honest, what really made this movie so dern scary was the music. You can probably be just as scared listening to this soundtrack as you would be watching the movie, it's THAT good! I highly suggest picking up this soundtrack even if you can't stand film scores, and use it for halloween, or just to scare the heck out of you whenever you want."
Creepy score for a creepy movie

"This review refers to the score for 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', as opposed to the album.
Relatively little-known Steve Jablonsky has done an AWESOME job with the score for the remake of the 1974 horror classic, 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. The score creeped me out so bad I got chills down my spine just from listening to it. It always seemed to hint that something unpleasant was going to happen soon - whether that meant Kemper getting whacked by Leatherface's sledgehammer, Erin's wild run through the woods at night with Leatherface & his chainsaw close behind, or Andy's panic-stricken run through the backyard of the Hewitt house, steps ahead of the loudly-buzzing chainsaw. Jablonsky created a central theme - probably Leatherface's - using low brass, bassoon, and French horn to give the movie the sinister, creepy tone that runs through the movie. It's heard several times in the movie, which was why I bought the score. DO NOT MISS IT!"

"I was reading through these reviews before I bought the CD and every other one is about the song from the trailer. Unfortunately movies use immediate music in their trailers meaning music created solely for the trailer. Your going to have to settle for the covers because the song from the trailer was created for the trailer only and not to be released. The people using these reviews as a message board are also leaving it at one star just because that song is not on the CD. It's an original soundtrack, meaning music direct from the screen. That aside, the CD which is supposed to be being reviewed is great. I have listened to the whole CD through and I was a little disappointed that there was not more creativity in the music, but that didn't stop it from being scary. The moods in the music are eerie and the chase songs make the scenes pop back into my head. Very scary CD if you are looking for some scary music to blast on Halloween or you want to scare yourself crazy, put this CD on alone in the dark. Good buy, well worth it but not as creative as I wanted it to be, thats probably just high expectations though."
Good Scary Music

"For everyone going on about this "Mortal Coil" song -- it wasn't even in the movie!!! It was only used in the trailer and a few TV ads. This soundtrack has the score music that is actually IN the film, and it's awesome, disturbing, moody stuff. If you like atmospheric music from horror movies, this is a soundtrack for you! Steve Jablonsky's music gives me the creeps. And that's a good thing!"
