Ok Film, Great Score

"The movie itself was ok. A bit slow, the nightmares could have been cooler. But it was a fun ride. The theater was packed and people seemed to be having a good time which is all that matters I guess.
When the movie started the music over the credits got my attention. I was surprised that it was kind of emotional, not at all what I would expect. I downloaded that track from iTunes and ended up buying the whole CD. I like it a lot because you get the creepy scary stuff, but there's also nice emotional stuff like "Where The Monster Live". I think that is the part where we flashback to Freddy at the school. I really like this music, it makes you feel something for these kids.
"Freddy's Coming" is another cool track. The name is very fitting because it sounds like Freddy is coming after you :)
I think my favorite track is "Like It Used To Be". I think it must be from the end of the movie, even though I don't remember some of it. It's really dramatic and exciting and has a nice theme at the end. I'm listening to it right now :)
So I would recommend this to horror fans but also to fans of emotional movie scores. Transformers is one of my favorite scores of all time, and I think Steve Jablonsky was a good choice for this new Freddy movie. And I also think Jackie Earle Haley was the perfect choice to play Freddy!"
