"1992's "Connected" was the big album for Rob B & company, better known as the Stereo MC's. This deliriously catchy album has funk written all over it, with killer grooves & beats, and very cool singing & rapping from Rob. The head-bobbing hits "Connected" and "Step It Up" alone are worth the price of admission, but MAN, there are so many fly tracks on this album: "Ground Level," "All Night Long," "Playing With Fire," "Creation," and "The End," just to name some. When it comes to dance pop, there's nobody that comes close to the Stereo MC's in catchiness, intelligence and studio expertise. "Connected" will definitely fit the bill if you need music to cruise down the highway to, or to get down with your bad self at a mixer or in private. Party on, Stereo MC's!"
Surprisingly good album!

"I bought this CD used several years ago just to get the song "Connected". I had no idea what a treat I was in for. This is one catchy collection of down-to-earth songs adeptly performed in a distinctive quasi-hip-hop style. It defies categorization. The music is not amazing -- it's just eminently listenable. I've played it many times while doing homework and studying, and it has yet to grow tiresome. Highly recommended!"
The mainstay of my CD collection!

"I went to 8 different stores to find this cd, and it was worth every mile I traveled. It is a excelent compromise to hardcore rap, with great rythm and perfictly fitted lyrics. Out of a collection of 100's of cd's this is by far my favorite. It is a shame nobody can find it anymore."

"From the OBJECTIVE reviewer...the perfect melting pot of rap and funk. It's impossible to skip over even one track on this CD."

"I must say the only reason why I initially bought this album was because of the nostalgia of "Connected" and "Step It Up". After listening to the album though, I was pleased to discover a few gems like "Ground Level", "Playing With Fire" and "Pressure". But unfortunately those are the only songs that really stick out. The rest is just background lounge music. That said, this is still a decent album to listen to - especially on a long drive. I would have given this 2 stars out of 5, but I had to give it an extra star solely on the basis that this it is undeniably quite a creative and original record."
