Synopsis

Album Description
This self-titled record marks the debut of Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers on Foundations Records. It's a collection of seven brand new songs as well as re-recorded versions of four songs from the back catalogue that the band wanted "another shot at". Produced by Andy Zulla (Rod Stewart, Jessica Simpson), the album was recorded in and is energized with, a shot of Manhattan. With special guest appearances by Braddigan from Dispatch, Mike Daly from Whiskeytown, Rich Price and Rob James from the Clarks, the album is also loaded with help from the friends of the Sixers.

CD Reviews

Go, sixers, go!
Brian Kelly | Fairfield, CT United States | 02/17/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Very well produced! sounds really good on headphones. I wasn't crazy about the re-make of Anthem of our Discovery, because the last one was picture perfect. But it is still a great song, so there!

Such a Way gets a nice re-do. very different from the last version, which i also loved. The new songs people will recognize from the shows. Vegas rocks it out. "You've Changed" absolutely explodes out of the speakers. other highlights for me are maria & blue jean.

I was originally disappointed by flower in rain being the opener, since it is slow. But who could fault a great lyric like that one? sets the mood for great songwriting. Kinda funny that the guy who produced the likes of Jessica Simpson produced this record, because these guys are the real deal.

**Revision** - This has become my favorite album by this band. It's full of power and sincerity, and it has grown on me and hasn't left my car in 2 months. So I guess that says it all!"
I Can't Even Describe It

"I was introduced to Stephen Kellogg by a friend who gave me the Flower In Rain single. I loooooved it. So, as soon as I could I bought this CD. I've been listening to it non-stop since then. At home while online, during my drive to work, in the office, and so on. I adore every song on this CD. They're all similar, so none are going to slap you in the face leaving you wondering how that track got on here.. Yet, there's enough variety that you won't be bored with the monotany of it. Cause let's face it, we've all experienced those two problems with many CDs. I definitely have my favorite tracks one here (Flower In Rain, Such A Way, You Changed), but I always let the whole CD play through, and I've yet to be disappointed by it ;-)"
5 Stars all the way!

"I first saw Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers at a show in Birmingham, AL. This was in Spring of 2006, my husband and I had decided to go over for the Pat Mcgee Band DVD shoot and these guys opened for them. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY. This band was making us dance our tails off and seemed to be having so much fun on stage. We headed to the merch booth and picked up 2 cd's for $20 (ROCK!) and this was one of them. I feel in love with it from the first listen. I have listened to this disc so many times and I never get tired of it. This is one to get, you won't be disappointed!"
