Stephen Ashbrook relocated to Portland, OR from Tempe, AZ where he won the Phoenix Tribune's Best Acoustic Performer in 1998 and 2000, as well as recorded his American B-Sides album with friends from The Gin Blossoms, The Pistoleros, and Dead Hot Workshop. The Phoenix publication New Times dubbed him 'pop-tunesmith extraordinaire'. Ashbrook's voice - a rolling bass profundo punctuated by a chilling falsetto - delivers tales of quiet strength and authenticity. A deeply centered stage persona coupled with remarkable song writing make this Southwest roots purveyor a talent to watch. Double Live @ Long Wong's is the 2-disc set of Ashbrook's live, solo-acoustic performance in front of a sold out Arizona audience.Ashbrook's music has also appeared in the Miramax release of Now You Know, a movie inspired by the Matchbox 20 song Push.
