"Back in the 80s, Stephanie Mills could do no wrong. She (and Anita Baker) ruled the R&B charts in the late 80s. I almost forgot about her, until a radio station in Atlanta played one of her old songs and it took me back. I am glad that MCA is giving some respect to Stephanie Mills and her fans. The only beef I have about this collection is the song "Home". This is not the version that became a hit for her on the charts. This version of "Home" sounds like it came from Broadway. Don't get me wrong, I like both versions. But I want to hear the version that she recorded for her "Home" album. On that version, she really put alot of soul into it. This collection is a must have!!!"

"Although this is a great CD (I know because I have all the songs on vinyl), Stephanie's first three albums need to be on CD, not just this Millenium compilation. Most die-had Stephanie Mills fans would agree that these were her best albums. The production team of Reggie Lucas and James Mtume did her voice a great "justice." I personally never felt her MCA releases could match the 20th Century trio of albums. If you are not familiar with her earlier work, this is a great sampler. Buy it! I am holding out for the full releases..."
