"Straight edge traditionalists, STAND AND FIGHT call their home Orange County, California and have just release a scorching twelve track CD encircling the straight edge sound, the lifestyle and the commitment to a movement. There isn't a doubt about what these guys stand for and they use their music as a means to spread the word about a lifestyle most of us would never entrust themselves to. They have similar vibe to other groups like DEATH THREAT, TERROR and STRIKING DISTANCE. Time-honored straight edge hardcore is either horrible or excellent; there isn't really room for marginal straight edge hardcore because of the confining nature of the genre. STAND AND FIGHT'S self-titled album is of the excellent variety with all the killer build-ups to breakdowns and the super sonic segments that connect the transitions. They are the antithesis to anything over-produced, which is what most straight edge hardcore bands believe in. This album is the most pure illustration of what straight edge hardcore is and what it should be. Break out the combat boots and stomp some heads with STAND AND FIGHT."
