"This release by Sam Butera and the Wildest is by far one of their best, and they certainly earn their name. From start to finish, Sam and his boys serve up a hot night in the lounge. It also gives a better overview of what their shows are like than the "Sheer Energy" CD, because there are no fade outs in between songs, so you can hear Sam's commentary on each number and his introductions. There are great arrangements on this album, especially "Bourbon Street Parade" and "St. Louis Blues," which features an awesome dueling sax contest between Sam and his saxophonist Billy Bower. The opening number "When You're Smiling" displays each band members' talent, while Sam takes the solo spotlight on "Mala Femina." Add a pumped up version of "Love is in the Air" and a tender-yet-soulful rendition of "I'm Confessin'", in addition to the band's staple "Just a Gigolo," "I've Got You Under My Skin," and a walloping closing, there is only one thing left to say: INCREDIBLE! Get this CD, you won't be sorry."
