Beautiful single...

"Stacie's sweet soprano suits this Diane Warren-penned song perfectly. 'I Promise' is a mid-tempo ballad, but it still has a catchy chorus that is sure to get some attention from radio. The track listing for this single, however, is incorrect. The correct tracks are:1. I PROMISE
2. I PROMISE (CHRIS COX RADIO EDIT)
3. I PROMISE (BORIS & BECK RADIO EDIT)
4. WHAT ARE YOU DOING NEW YEAR'S EVE?
5. I PROMISE (ENHANCED VIDEO)The remixes are great (and not agonizingly long), and track 4 is a jazzy, bluesy holiday number that Stacie performs amazingly well. Chris Cox, by the way, is one half of the former team that made up Thunderpuss (Barry Harris is the other producer/remixer). Great buy!"
Cool Maxi CD!

""I Promise" is a really sweet ballad performed by Stacie, and I'm glad it was released as a single. This MAXI CD is the second CD of a two-cd set (made in England). The remixes are great and there's lots of bonus goodies included here...1) I Promise- This is the song that probably every British fan heard on the radio. Like I said, a really nice ballad! 10/102) I Promise (Chris Cox Radio Edit)- This isn't really a bad remix, but let's face it, Chris Cox is nothing without Barry Harris (the other remixer from Thunderpuss). 8/103) I Promise (Boris & Beck Radio Mix)- This is my favorite mix on the single!! I'd never heard of Boris & Beck before, but they're awesome. 10/104) (What Are You Doing) New Year's Eve- Stacie's version of the Christmas song. Maybe if this were released earlier, it would be more fun to listen to. But nevertheless, it's good. 8/105) I Promise (Video)- I looooove the video for this song!! It's also in really good quality on this, so it's well worth it. Bonus Material: Pop this single in your computer and you'll get lots of goodies! It has the lyrics for "I Promise," the video, a picture gallery, and a competition. The gallery is pretty useless since all the pictures are just screencaps from the video. Also, I think the "Win A Day With A Stylist..." competition is for UK fans only, plus you need a Virgin-cellphone to join.Well all in all, this is a great buy, cause almost everything on this CD is awesome! Psst...don't buy this from amazon.com, it's too expensive, I got mine from the nearest Tower Records Shop for only 8 bucks!"
