Great Disc, New Music

"This is a really great disc. My original fear was that this would turn out to be just slightly different variations of "Costes" tracks, like his last attempt at a solo disc. Not the case. New music here and a very smooth beat that flows nicely from track to track. The tracks are pretty chill, yet upbeat, without getting too bizarre like the last couple Costes CDs."

"I am huge "lounge" collector, who has all the discs in the Hotel Costes and Buddha Bar series, plus most of their off-shoots. I had not bought this one until recently (via Amazon.com downloads), and all I can say is WOW! Stephan Pompougnac knocked it out of the park!
In my opinion, the Hotel Costes series has been very uneven, especially for the more recent releases. So what an amazingly wonderful surprise to find myself grinning throughout almost all this CD. One major difference here is that Pompougnac produced ALL these tracks - with featured artists on most of them. At this point, I think he's a better composer than compiler. The CD maintains a bouncy pace, cutting across funk, disco, soul, newjazz, breaks, and sexy global lounge. I could easily see a few of these tracks going over very well on the dance floor, and also as the backdrop for a fun night out (or in)!"
