"Not the originals but very close performances and a better sound, all clear, true wide front STEREO. By far the best Q/P, these 2 top quality Cd's cost approx 40% less than one only of the others!
All good songs that make us turn our heads backwards, with three gems: Johnny Guitar, Amapola, Karelia.
For me the top guitar group of the 60's is "THE SHADOWS"(UK) followed by "THE VENTURES"(USA) but... "THE SPOTNICKS"(Sweeden), "LES AIGLONS"(Swiss)and "LES GUITARES DU DIABLE"(France) not to forget "THE STRING A LONGS"(USA) each one of them had a wonderful sound of their own.
This double CD is a piece of guitar history, let his music take you back to a sweeter past.
Ciao

A history of the Spotnicks

"I first heard the Spotnicks on vinyl in the late sixties I think around the same time that I was listening to The Ventures and The Shadows. I found them an interesting group with a good feel for the typical instrumentals of the time. Amapola was a lovely reminisence to that time with some of their timeless tracks. I don't think there is one disappointing track on this album. If you fancy instrumental albums give this one a listem. I don't think you will be disappointed."
