"When I listen to Speaker--live or on CD--the word that comes to mind is "solid." This threesome from Long Beach is instrumentally tight, yet groovy enough when heard live to surprise listeners with their unusual flair. Each show is packed with hard driving drums and guitar, as well as soothing vocals and low end bass. A friend of mine was snowboarding in the Mammoth Mountain terrain park and found himself singing along to "Texas Style," a song that should be breaking down radio barriers. When he realized it was Speaker flying out the speakers it gave him hope that this band will finally get its due. We can only cross our fingers (and buy their CD). If you're sick of hearing three chord American cheese, step up to Speaker Extra Sharp Cheddar."

"I got this cd as part of an ebay lot of 60 cd's from groups you never heard of. Well, this cd blew me away! This band has a terrific sound. If you want a "green day" sound with lyrics you can listen to with your teenager, this cd will not disappoint."
