A great soundtrack to a great movie you probably didn't see.

"I know, it's the High School Musical girl and another Disney tween-bot in a movie where people sing, runaway. WELL YOU ARE WRONG! The CD has some really great songs, that I can listen to over and over. Sure, "I Want You to Want Me" has been covered to death, and yes the version here isn't great, but I've heard worse. The real gem is the second song, "Amphetamine" is really good. "Someone to Fall Back On", is not the version from the movie I would have preferred is still good. "Pretend" is also a wonderful song. The Burning Hotels song, "Stuck in the Middle" is also worth a listen. And Vanessa H. really shines in "Everything I Own". The liner notes for the CD, give reasons why the director chose each song, and notes that the actors actually played the songs as recorded. So give it a try."

"Great music--variety, energy, lyrics!
Great movie for family & kids--think John Hughes with music and some soul & spirit..."

"The movie suited me very well. I recommend the show to anyone who likes to be entertained by young, energetic, talented, ... people. A solid story line with feeling and lauding of sound values. Yes, you don't have to embrace toilet door humour or immorality to entertain."

"I got this after seeing Bandslam; I liked the songs I heard performed by the lead band (I Can't Go On, I'll Go On). And their songs on this CD are good, regardless of the girl doing the singing, but the rest of the material on this album, at least in my opinion, just drags it down."
