"If you are familiar with the music of Johnny Indovina, I would tell you, this one has the power and emotion of "The World Inside" and the variety of "Pin-Ups" all backed with a modern beat.



To those not familiar with Johnny's music, I think the other person who liked the sound/feeling to early Bowie hit it on the head with that comparison, though they miss with their 3 stars, un-enthusiastic review, and for not mentioning it still has a very modern sound.



Every song has a standout feature, that you will find yourself humming later as you walk, work or play. This one like all of Johnny's music is quietly powerful, if that makes any sense. It is full of energy without being loud.



You may regret many things, but buying this CD will never be one of them."

"Sound of the Blue Heart's richly textured debut album leads on clearly from Indovina's past work as the singer/songwriter of Human Drama.

In the socially conscious title track, "Beauty?", Indovina contemplates the fickleness of fate. "I Cannot Look Away," meanwhile, goes back to cabaret roots, providing a Dresden Dolls/Voltaire aesthetic.

I loved Indovina's inclusion of an unexpected but well-handled cover song, ELO's 1977 number "Can't Get It Out of My Head." Indovina's delivery doesn't try to clone Jeff Lynne's, and the overall performance is a definitely a treat.

Indovina also covers brilliantly the moody "Pantomime Clown," by underground New Orleans based artist Damien Youth."
