Synopsis

Product Description
'Gods of Vermin' is the impressive debut release by Sons of Seasons, a band that even with its first signs of life delivers breathtaking tempo. Mastermind and keyboardist Oliver Palotai, who has already proved his prowess with Kamelot and Doro, alongside his fellow combatants provides for a complex, yet catchy album that allows for new musical discoveries with each listen. Vocalist Henning Basse (Metalium) refines this particular brand of dark symphonic metal with his strong and clean voice, though the gem's final polish is the courtesy of none other than Simone Simons of Epica fame, who validates her rightfully earned reputation as one of the best vocalists on the scene. 'Gods of Vermin' is an album filled with magic, awaiting only to be discovered! This Limited Edition contains a bonus track, 'Melanchorium'.

CD Reviews

Just get it. It's that good.

"I saw this album at the record store and I never heard of them or it before. I looked at the cover and thought oh is that Epica's singer. I'm not a fan of Epica so I was a little worried. The sticker said members from Epica and Kamelot and others. I LOVE Kamelot so I bought it. I'm always looking for NEW bands to listen to. WOW...this is a good album. It's a rollar coaster of emotions in the songs. Songs are complex to a point but not to the degree where it gets annoying and completely abstract. Catchy choruses in almost every song. You WILL pick them up fast and sing along. Semi-Heavy riffing along with some soothing melodies. Drum work is awesone. Keys?.....very good. Singer is supurb. He sings with a LOT of emotion. That's what I like to hear. I want to feel what you are saying. He's not just droning on like alot of others Prog-Metal bands. Like I always say "I get it you can sing and play your instrument but can you entertain me". God of Vermin is a GREAT song. Blind Man's Resolution is flawless. And that's to name a few. Just a GREAT solid album from start to finish. This is how you do it folks. NO filler songs here in my honest opinion. Nothing you haven't heard before but so what, I truly enjoyed this album. I listen to it every day since I got it. Can't wait for their second release.

Oh the extra song is worth the buy."
