We blurted out "Soulful Romp," and then slapped our legs

"No Donald Patterson recording was ever routine, but this is a Sonny Stitt date, and Sonny was so facile he sometimes phoned it in. Luckily, here he had both Rufus Harley (of bagpipe notoriety) and Robin Kenyatta on saxes, and, masquerading as "Wilmer Mosby," the wonderful organist Don Patterson to keep him awake and driving. Even though Rufus does haul out the pipes for one blues tune, the music, other than the lovely "My Foolish Heart," is all lively bop. I can't help fearing a lot of Hammond organ fans might have missed this good one because Don isn't indexed among the personnel."
