The recording is live, and the virtuosity displayed by this group of jazz stalwarts (Sonny Rollins sax, Tommy Flanagan piano, Bob Cranshaw bass, Billy Higgins drums, and Micky Roker drums) is overwhelming. Mr. Rollins is one of the all-time greats of the saxophone, and his playing here is the best ever. The riffs are crisp and imaginative, and I simply don't have better Sonny Rollins in my collection. I have other versions of my favorite on this album, "On Green Dolphin Street," by Rollins and others, but this is the one in my listening and shedding rotation for over 30 years. This title is very difficult to get ahold of, but well worth it."
