2007 Soundtrack of the Third Season of the Hit Canadian TV Show "Instant Star". All of the Songs were Originally Sung by Alexz Johnson for the Show, Though Some were Re-recorded by Others for this Soundtrack Due to Legal Issues.
"If you are buying this cd cause you loved how the songs sounded in the show just stop. Most of the songs are sung by different people and they are hardly recognizable. After seeing the show the rifts from Love to Burn stuck in my momeory but it is Cory Lee who sings the song on the cd not Alexz, and she did not come close to pulling it off and has no where near the amount of life and passion Alexz gives the song. I am an Alexz Johnson fan and was upset to find out that only four songs on this cd are hers, Cory Lee sings far too many of them. After hearing what the songs can sound like getting this watered down version was a total rip off."

"I bought this CD- against my better judgement- because I really loved the song Don't You Dare from the show. Thankfully, this song is on the soundtrack and sung by Alexz. I also liked Unraveling. This song is also on the soundtrack, but sung by Tyler Kyte. Do not get my wrong, he has a good voice, but the song isn't even sung right. All the songs (except What You Need, Don't You Dare, and I Don't Know If I Should Stay, and Karma's songs) are changed, the music is practically rewritten. Why is this a problem? Because this is supposed to be a soundtrack of the thrd season. Not a who-can-mess-up-these-songs-the-most contest! And I don't like Cory Lee's vocals. I think they should have worked out the legal issues and let the people who's characters sang the songs in the show sing them on the soundtrack. Otherwise, don't bother. I was really sad that I didn't have Jude's songs sung by JUDE (Alexz Johnson). Spiederman (Tyler Kyte) got to sing his songs and Karma (Cory Lee) go to sing hers. It is not right. This CD go two stars because the four tracks Alexz does sing are phenomenal."
Not as described...

"There are 14 songs on this CD, and only 4 are sung by Alex Johnson! This does NOT qualify as a soundtrack because these songs have ben completely changed from how they were on the show.
Also, the description for this says that all songs were originally sung by Alexz, and that's not true. Cory Lee recorded No Shirt No Shoes for her CD, it was never on the show, and Cory Lee's character Karma recorded I Will Be the Flame for the show with a partial duet with Alexz in an episode. Cory also re-recorded Waste My Time which was a song on the FIRST season's soundtrack featuring a rap part. I would have MUCH rather heard Alex's version without the rap part which I had to edit out on my ITunes.
Don't buy this and maybe they won't get away with this for the season 4 soundtrack.
Go request this on Itunes!"
You can't outshine an Instant Star.

"The soundtrack of the 3rd season of Instant Star features less songs sung by star, Alexz Johnson, and more of the other songwriter/singer castmates. True IS fans will enjoy the songs because of their assignment to each episode, but all Alexz fans will agree that it would have been SENSATIONAL with her vocals.
Instant Star 3 Soundtrack is wonderful for what it is, but Alexz fans will be disappointed that the songbird isn't showcased more."
What happend to Alexz

"I have the 2 previous soundtracks & i really Love Alexz's voice, which is why i bought this to hear the full length versions of what i heard on the show! I knew there was going to be one song by Cory Lee, one by Tyler Kyte & one by Lindsay Robins, which was totally fine, but Alexz only sings 4 of the 14 tracks!!! And 2 of my favorite songs she isnt singing, Love to Burn (Cory Lee) & Worth Waiting For (Tyler Kyte). I dont want an R&B version of Love to Burn, I want to hear the original! And in my opinion a guy singing Worth Waiting For doesnt make any sense. Cory is a good singer, but i want to hear the songs i was expecting not remixes. I would have given 4 stars if 11 of the 14 songs had been sung by Alexz!"
