CD ReviewsWell written songs, beautiful voices, creative, fun and a li Kathleen A. OBrien | 10/21/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "This CD is great fun! I actually had two versions, one with "Repressed" on it and one without which I gave to my niece Mary. I had picked up the cd after seeing Crooked Still because the lead singer was in the band. I was driving down the road, blaring the cd and having a great time! Well "Repressed" started playing and I could not believe what I was hearing! Luckily I was in the middle of farmland when I pulled over. Maybe some cows heard the song and I think one passed out. Seriously, I will never forget the first time I ever heard the song! Aside from that song, there are some amazing songs on there and I listen to the cd often. Totally I recommend it, just skip over "Repressed" if you have children in the car or you have the windows down in the car and you are in traffic. Katie P.S. Don't leave the cd in your car playing if you have your car serviced. My friend did that by mistake and got some strange looks from the folks who serviced her car!" Soulful and heartfelt, worth listening to J. Baker | Seattle, WA USA | 03/06/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "Each of the members of this trio has different musical talents and a personality that together make for one of the more intriguing listens you'll find, if you're a fan of folk music. I highly recommend this CD, although I find it a little weaker than their newer "Your Heart is a Glorious Machine." Be aware that "Too Repressed" is repetitively explicit; choose the silver edition of their debut CD for younger listeners. My favorites are "Middle" and "Clover" but I enjoy all of the tracks and you will find your own favorites. If you like their music, attend one of their concerts to gain an even greater appreciation for the fresh sound and lyrics that these sirens make."
