"I must admit, I'm usually a little embarrassed to admit to friends just how much I love the Softlightes. Why, you ask? Well, it mostly has to do with how sticky-sweet and poppy their music and lyrics can be. The band's previous incarnation was The Incredible Moses Leroy, and I fell head -over-heels in love with their last album "The Incredible Moses Leroy...become the Softlightes". While this new album has some of the same lighthearted, transcendent moments that fill the last album, it just doesn't have the same depth. Rest assured though, your inner-cheese ball will be singing along to songs like "The Microwave Song," "Heart Mode of Sound," and "A Town Named Blue." This is truly indi-pop at is best, and this album along anything else by The Incredible Moses Leroy is great for listening to in the car on a sunny day with the windows rolled down. So who cares about being "cool," say yes to being happy and let your inner-cheese ball sing out with the Softlightes."
