Post-hardcore isn't all bad, or so they say

"If taking back sunday had a slightly younger second cousin, who in one way or another was related to The Starting Line and Armor For Sleep, it's name would be "so they say". Building off of the popular for the moment dual vocal attacks, STS adds a technical pop-punk element to the mix, with an accessible end result. The songs are all catchy as hell, but the pop meets heavy sound of STS' EP isn't one to be slept on. Breakdowns are a big part of STS, as is the occasional solo, and who could forget about that whole scream/sing thing found in three of the albums six songs? Of course, none of these genre bending technicals would mean anything if the music was s#@t. Thankfully, it isn't. In an already overcrowded post-hardcore genre, which survives off of same sounding 'who influenced who?' crap, STS look to overcome the cliches and make a name for themselves. "So They Say" (EP) puts em' that much closer to their goal. Recommended."

"Im partially writing this review because the only other person to give them a review is a dumbass. "and dare i say hawthorne heights"?? ummm you bash So They Say for having screaming that sounds forced. listen to hawthorne again, it sounds like his throats gonna explode he's trying so hard. Bottom line So They Say is an extremely talented upcoming artist. Great lyrics great music, and just plain catchy, dont believe me just give them a listen and decide for yourself, but you wont be disappointed. To those who doubt their quality compared to other artists maybe you should get an ear for real music before you start writing reviews...thanks ****SO THEY SAY NEW FULL LENGTH ALBUM COMING TO STORES MARCH 7TH!!!****"
