Album DescriptionOn this, their 3rd CD, Snipe Hunt continue their on-going quest to follow the musical rabbit holes wherever they may lead, using a full pallet of musical colors as a framework for lyrics that shine the light of truth on various insidious nude emperors. From the Matthew Sweet-ish lead track, "Super Fine," to the acid jazz of "Just Keep Your Eyes on the Ball" with its comparison of Puritan Ashcroft's misdirection campaign to carnival midway hucksterism, to the banjo-reggae "The King of Paperclips" confessional of a petty tyrant, to the Spanish hip hop of "Afilado A Pedacitos" (which translates to "Sharpened to Bits"), to the bluegrass of the title track, Snipe Hunt follow their musical whims in matching their new millenium protest music to a diverse set of sounds.
