"great early-ish palace ep. its got some classic will oldham chestnuts, 'all gone','untitled', and the recording quality is eerie and fits the mood of the songs. the werner herzog nod shows will has cool friends. appropriate drumming and organ swells abound. its kinda like a dylan on absinthe thing, to painfully filter an artist through the metaphor of another one. a good palace starting place. i too bonded with/was crushed by this album on a lonely bus ride. listen to this album until the songs arent sad anymore, then you know its great."

"Will Oldham has become old hat by now, but this EP is truly fantastic (rivalling URGE Overkill's "Stull EP" as the best EP of the 90's). All the songs just flow together. It is the perfect thing to listen to while riding on a lonley bus on a cold and wet February day."
