EXIT-13's BEST

"a collection of unique renditions of blues and jazz tunes, originally recorded in the 20's and 30's, dealing with marijuana culture. Featuring members of Brutal Truth, S.O.D., and the Pain Teens"
A bizarre, brilliant 180 degree turn from Ethos Music

"I first heard of Exit-13 when I bought the CD 'Ethos Music', a speedmetal/trash metal/noise core release that was simply musical insanity, featuring screaming vocals, blast beats faster than any death metal out there, jazz parts thrown in, guitars that are heavier than you can imagine....and then I come across this....my first thought was, 'this is not the same band'...to be honest I still am not convinced it is...where did the female vocals come from? where did the metal go? the bass has changed from electric to a standup bass making it sound more like the stray cats than cannibal corpse. The music has gone from extreme noise terror beyond metal to something that sounds like the squirrel nut zippers. This CD is brilliant, and so is 'ethos music'. I recommend listening to samples from this one, and then listening to samples from that one...YES, it IS the same band, although the two releases could not be further apart from one another musically, a complete 180 degree turn. I honestly cant imagine too many people that would enjoy BOTH releases, unless they are completely open minded about music and like both 1920's sounding mellow lounge music, and the most extreme noise-metal screaming thrash/death metal you can imagine. lyrically, they are pretty close since the band is pro-weed, but that is the only similarity between the two. Check them both out!"
