"Smokey Wilson is a hustlin' MF! Either live or on recording, I've never failed to get my money's worth. His rough vocals and stinging guitar are a cut and a half above the rest of the contemporary blues market."

"Smokey Wilson delivers a sometimes fun album. The joy he show playing on this album is a delight, however it does not reach the heights of 'The Man from Mars'. The highlights are 'House in Hollywood', 'Rat takin' your cheese' and 'Can't make it without you' which highlight his singing and guitar playing."
