"Excellent recording of two prominent Czech composers.Smetana and his Vltave (Moldau) is among my very favorites, and this recording is no let down. Its pace and volume surges and gurgles as it should.Fibich is new to me, but enjoy the playful parts such as the Scherzo and the Adiago non troppo. Continue to play this recording often and enjoy each time."

"Neeme Jarvi conducts a wonderful performance of Smetana's great
set of tone poems. If you only know The Moldau, you are in for a great surprise, because the rest of the set is equally terrific, and mostly, much more energetic.Highly recommended. You might also like to investigate his version of Peter and the Wolf, narrated by Lina Prokofiev, the composer's wife."
