What was good about Glam/Hair Metal

"Smashed Gladys was a very good rock and roll band. Unfortunately because of the deluge of glam/hair bands in the 80's they sort of got lost in the shuffle. I assure you many much less talented bands got more publicity and recognition than Smashed Gladys, and that's a tragedy..
What we have here is a classic album in the sleaze/hair/glam metal vein.
So many highlights on this disc. My personal favorites being "Dive In The Dark", "Eye Of The Storm", "Cast Of Nasties" and "Sermonette".
Sally Cato and the boys sadly never got the opportunity to shine. Listening to this CD makes me feel as though I'm seated on the floor of a hole-in-the-wall type of bar with a half empty bottle of JD in one hand-wearing clothes that haven't been washed in weeks...
You may want to jump at this CD on amazon, because you'll find on Ebay for a considerably higher price, if you can find it at all."

"Oh Man,this band deserves a lot more recognition than they got.Unfortunately I'd never heard of them until they were given as a you might like this cross over from another band.I sure had missed out just like many others. It doesn't matter what category you classify them,Smashed Gladys rocks hard & steady with such talented style that they should have been with the top names in the 80s. I certainly hope the members of this band check out the revues given. You played so very well & I miss the day when bands truly rocked. Thanks for your contribution."
