Album Description
"Time & Memory" is the CD debut of the group SLOWBURN. Long a fixture on the NY Metro area music scene, SLOWBURN combines the sophistication of jazz, the excitement of Latin and Afro-Cuban music, the energy of rock and the adventurousness of avant-garde to create a music which is both accessible and challenging. SLOWBURN was most active throughout the 90?s, performing regularly for enthusiastic audiences. They were voted "Best Unsigned Jazz Band" in the 1991 Brooklyn Lager Band Search. After winning the competition held in NYC?s famous Knitting Factory, they capped off the event with an appearance at Brooklyn?s Prospect Park as part of the "Celebrate Brooklyn" festival.
