Pathetic Attempt at a Compilation

"Without question, Mark Slaughter & Co were one of my favorite bands of the hair metal era. They really broke onto the scene in a big way with their first single "Up All Night", which was a long time staple on MTV's video countdown. They had a couple more hits off of their debut album, and maintained at least moderate success while they supported their follow up disc "The Wild Life". However, as hair metal went by the wayside to Alternative music, so did Slaughter. They have continued to release music periodically, but all has gone without the fanfare of their debut.
While I am a big fan of almost all of their music, this disc is really a horrible effort to compile an accurate representation of what Slaughter brings to the table. Their biggest hit, "Fly to the Angels" isn't even included on this supposed "Best of". Without question, Slaughter's music is worthy of inclusion in your collection if you're a hair metal fan, but you can do much better than this collection. I would recommend buying used copies of their first two discs, "Stick it to Ya" and "The Wild Life", as opposed to purchasing this poorly thrown together package."
