CD ReviewsPlease Don't Buy This..... James C. Cabel | Colorado Springs, Colorado United States | 03/19/2005 (1 out of 5 stars) "You know, I've liked Slapshot for a long time - but no more. They were a major force in the hardcore movement, particularly in the straight-edge segment of hardcore, for a long time. But now.....Choke, you miserable sad excuse for a human being -how on earth can you make light of the tragedy that happened on 9-11 just to write a song? That's disgusting. The song "I Hate New York" is your standard-issue juvenile "I hate everybody" type garbage that Choke has been writing for quite a while, but "2 planes later and you're still there"? and "watch the skies". Who do you think you are? I realize that Boston and New York have had issues (among the hardcore scene) for many years. But there are things you just don't say. I truly hope that some New York boys go visit you in Boston (at whatever salon you're cutting hair at nowadays) and voice their displeasure at you for making light of 3,000+ deaths. Choke, you are scum. I threw this piece of garbage away. Just to show that this this negative review isn't just based on that one song I will add this. Their early stuff (Back On The Map,etc) was great. This crap, this is a has-been trying to cash in."
