"After hearing Slackstring's songs Sunday Jen and Lend Me Your Love on the freeride Mountain bike video 'The Collective', I was very interested in Slackstrings chilled, feel good acoustic style. After purchasing their first album self-titled (van album) I was impressed, however the recording quality was pretty ordinary. What really got my attention was Sunday Jen which was a single they released after the van album. This song musically was much more complex and displayed what the band was capable of achieving not to mention a better recording quality.



Lay Back continues this great sound. Feel good acoustic and chilled out, this album is a huge step up from their début and has a few different sounds incorporating a jazzy and latin sound with trumpets. There is also the classic Slackstring songs with a reggae beach vibe. In total a very good album with catchy beats and cool solos.



A great relaxing album to put on and chill with good company and a cold beer!

"i really like this cd really good relaxing music. only downside is sometimes its a little too relaxing. best tracks Lay back Sailing On Sunday Jen. this cd would be perfect to go biking to"
