"I was introduced to Skin Alley by a friend and colleague who is just as deep into progressive rock as you can get. This album, originally released in 1970, was the second of a four album long discography by this fascinating English-American ensemble. They pull off a sound that brings in elements of psychodelia and blues (a-la-Traffic) with sounds that remind of the best Jethro Tull (some tracks contain great flute playing by Nick Graham), King Crimson during their "Islands" period and Van Der Graff Generator. Overall, I almost feel embarrased of not having found out about them before. They are a solid progressive band that somehow elluded the spotlight that shone on the acts that we now know as legends."
