"I suppose it is not that easy to understand Six organs's music. That is because it works in a very different way from most of music. To me, it's not ''brain music'', it's ''heart music''. And, of course, all music is heart music in some degree, but this record is so pure in it. The best way to become acquainted with this music is by creating pictures in mind while listening to this music in complete silence of the night. The artwork of this cd helps alot in setting the tone and vibrations of the pictures, although it is consisted of very few manipulated photographs, all of which give out a very intimate, sublime, mystical, calm and yet at the same time incredibly intense atmosphere, and that's exactly how the music sounds as well.
The music itself is consisted of acoustic guitar, bells, chimes and various drones which at time become even noisy, but not in an abrasive way - somehow they always retain calmness. The way these sounds are combined is simply amazing. There is always the right measure of everything in compositions and also, this particular record relies more on drones and chimes than on guitars, unlike ''dust and chimes'' or ''compathia''. But these things mean nothing when talking about Six organs of admittance, because this music is extremely spiritual, and all these sounds are just means to achieve a spiritual goal. Take note that this music is very very psychedelic. It truly does reveal other worlds. I absolutely love it, it's brilliant.
The result is music that is at the same time very alive in itself, with lots and lots of variation which at the same time sounds like one big drone with no explosions, no shocks and no discontinuity within itself. Please do not think this music has ANYTHING to do with impotent and generally just weak and empty new age music. Also, don't think that this is "atmosphere" music, or that you can listen to this passively. On the contrary, it requires your absolute attention and focus or you won't understand any of it.
Wait for a quiet night, light a candle, put this record on at low volume and dream of things you never knew existed.
