"I had the tremendous pleasure of hearng Sista Monica at the North Beach Festival in San Francisco on June 13th. At first, just milling around the party, I paid little attention, then I thought, "Damn, Katie Webster is here." I worked my way throught the crowd, absolutely mesmerized by the power and beauty of Sista Monica's remarkable talent. I love Katie Webster but this woman is something way beyond. I grabbed one of her CDs on the way out and listened to it during my drive home. How wonderful. Chicago blues in Bay area traffic. Sista almost made it bearable. If you like the blues, get this album. Too much..."
