I now roam streets bobbing my head to the beat and wondering-who but who-is wearing a thong. O, Sisqo, you have transformed sound, you have given us an audio dream in this tune. Next month when I marry, I will request that they play this song at the reception and you will see some dancing because this song and its thought-provoking lyrics are just that powerful. ON the surface, it's a bawdy tune, but the 'thong' refrain asks the listener if we just aren't also reacting to the hegemony of mainstream life & what are we going to do to stand up to the machinery that controls our lives.
