"I first heard Chief Boot Knocka in my friend's car. We got lost so i managed to listen to the whole cd in one sitting. I must say that it is in my top 5 cds of all time. This is coming from a metal fan! This cd is Mix at his prime. The rhymes and beats flow so well together that you might wonder why this movie didn't surpass Mack Daddy in popularity. Songs like Nasty Dog and Don't Call Me Da Da show how well Mix can incorporate stories into his songs and still make them work. Let it Beaounce and Ride show off his production skills. Every single song on this cd is amazing. After buying this cd, i listened to it at 4 in the morning driving to work EVERY DAY for the whole summer and never got tired of it. It does not matter if you are a rap fan because i sure am not. I grew up on Metallica, Tool, Pantera, Sepultura, and Nine Inch Nails. That is what surprised me so much about this CD! If you are a music fan go out and buy this CD. it will be worth whatever price you pay for it, believe me!"
The Mix-a-Lot Game is Tough

"The Mix kicks. I bought this album because Baby Got Back ruled so much, but I already had that CD single. Since then I have purchased "Mack Daddy", too. Chief Boot Knocka is much better and in my opinion is Mix's most underrated album."

"BUY THIS! Its up there with Revolver, The Wall, Mind Blowin', and Exile on Mainstreet! Baby Got Back will always be his calling card, but the whole album kicks BGB's ass. So many songs on this single album are classic! Buy this and you won't be disappointed!"

"After his most successful album, "Mack Daddy", Sir Mix-A-Lot was living large at the top of his game. He even won a grammy award for the biggest hit of that record and his career, "Baby Got Back." Now it's 1994. 2 years later and Mix returns with his first album since signing to American Records with "Chief Boot Knocka."

Another almost classic effort from Mix. After reviewing his albums thus far, Mix is definitely one of the most intelligent and creative rappers to ever grace the mic. The production on this album is awesome and as always Mix's lyrics and flow are tight as ever. A must have for any rap collection."
