"My parents travelled to the Caribbean for many years, and brought this album (LP) back one year in the 60's or 70's. We haven't had a record player for years, and the discovery of a CD version brought joy into our house!It has our favorite, "Hear, O Lord" along with many other beautiful hymns from the era of guitar masses -- which many remember fondly. It has the added touch of steel band accompaniment on some tracks, and is a decidedly joyful experience.It was transferred directly from analog tape, and the tape may have been transferred from the LP, so there's a little bit of background noise, but I'm only mentioning it for the more persnickety among us who might find this disappointing.Whoever decided (in Jamaica or Trinidad) to release this CD a few years back: Thank you!"

Old but timeless

"This is a very old album I listened to as a child growing up in Trinidad. The songs are soul wrenching. My mother had an old vinyl copy which was thrown out when they upgraded (17 years ago), but I have never forgotten the songs or the words. I just decided to look for it online on a whim. Anyone who buys this will never be disappointed. It will lift you up. My favorite "Hear oh Lord""

"The music on this tape will live until the end of time.
It's peaceful and soothing, and the words of the songs speaks millions to the listener. There is something for everyone here and the luxury of it all is the steellband music played throughout I Especially like "Hear Oh Lord", "How I Have Longed"
and "Sing Out My Soul To The Lord"
It's special and I have no choice but to give this CD 5 stars. This music was around since the 70's but still fresh as a rose.
You'll love it!"
