Why Isn't this more renowned?

"This is an inspiring and original album. The musicianship and music is a must hear. I invite the listeners to listen to the premiere recording of the Michael Moriarty penned tune (yes, of Law & Order fame), "Simplicity". This tune is given masterful and exotic treatment by the collaboration of Vladimir Lande, Oboe and William Feasley, Guitar. They call themselves, The D'Amore Duo.This is sonorous music. Impressive in the impact upon the soul-- skill, music, collaboration, will rein you in. Please buy this for your collection."
A great CD I wish was still in print

"There aren't many CDs of music for oboe and guitar and this is a CD which should still be in print. Something I've noticed about guitar literature is that once a piece is considered good enough to be a standard it gets played virtually to death and recorded on multiple CDs ... unless it's chamber music. Music for guitar and flute is commonplace and there are a number of standard works by Piazzolla, Takemitsu, and Castelnuovo-Tedesco among others. As yet there don't seem to be many works for oboe and guitar that are even close to being widely known. Which is too bad because the guitar and oboe sound great together.
If there actually IS a standard work for oboe and guitar (to go only by its appearance on more than one CD then Napolean Coste's Le Montegnard is it. It's a nice piece and like all the works on this CD the duo plays the music beautifully. If I could nominate a new oboe/guitar piece that "should" be a standard Moriarty's piece would be one of them. This piece grew on me very quickly.
This is a great duo and I would encourage anyone who wants to hear music for oboe and guitar to do what they can to get this album and get any album they may make in the future."
